The friends go through a number of dance routines, maintaining the required minimum 1.5m physical distance at all times, as shoppers enter and leave the shopping centre nearby to stock up on essential items. Susie works as a dance instructor in gyms, aged care facilities and schools, and met Cecilia at Fernwood Broadway where Cecilia has attended her classes for 5 years. The girls have been meeting to dance together and stay fit during this time that large group gatherings and their usual dance classes have not been possible. Susie has decided to focus on caring for her two young children during this time and has not set up online classes. These would require potential investment and learning to use technology she's not currently familiar with. Meeting up with Cecilia has seen the two of them go back to the pure joy of just dancing. For the 30 minutes their dance session lasts, their music and the joy expressed in their dancing is radiated across the small section of the Glebe neighbourhood. Due to his love of the game, basketball has been his main form of exercise following the closure of his gym. Jefferson says the daily practice has helped him to improve his basketball game, increasing his coordination and strength. During COVID-19 the father and daughter have been fulfilling a new year's resolution of more than 5 years to play tennis together. "Every time we see the Australian Open we pledge to play tennis but we never do" says Imogen "we've got a bit more time on our hands now so we're finally doing it." The pair enjoyed a relaxed Saturday afternoon game at the courts located just minutes from their home. It becomes more competitive when the rest of the family join them to play, with proper score keeping and friendly family rivalry. The Drummoyne based family have developed the fiercely competitive "Parents vs Kids Cup" that sees the kids outnumber the adults in rounds of 15 minute games. A tie in the third round leads to a sudden death playoff. However, Jack and Lisha were spared this with a convincing 22-15 defeat by the younger family members, that they jokingly described as "heartbreaking. In this image he trains Matthew in a high intensity workout incorporating boxing and interval training on Saturday 25 April. Matthew has been able to continue his twice weekly sessions with Johnny alongside working from home. He has quite enjoyed the transition to outdoor workouts and the change up to his normal routine and has had no concerns about health or sanitary issues. Sunny autumn Sydney weather has enabled exercise routines to continue outdoors in line with the physical distancing guidelines outlined by the NSW Government. Michelle is part of competitive dragon boat racing team, Sloths Dragon Boat Club. Getting out on the water in OC1 rowing boats, an alternative to their normal dragon boat training, has been a relief and welcome change for Michelle during the transition to working from home. The boats have allowed the team members to exercise and get some fresh air and tranquillity on the bay while keeping a physical distance from one another. This is something that would not be possible with the usual dragon boats, designed to carry up to 22 team members. The team has a number of members that are state and Australian representatives and have been missing the normal routine of their training sessions. The game involves using a wall to kick the football to each other within a defined area, just like a traditional game of squash. This modified soccer game enables them to play with just two players and maintain distance from each other. The housemates began playing in Wentworth Park when lockdown commenced in Sydney, and Will comments that their game has improved a lot "when we first started out it was pretty hard, pretty much impossible to get a rally going." The housemates, both music teachers, have had their work move online like many other Australians during this time. This has had the benefit of their schedules aligning enough to exercise together. The winner of each game of Quarantine Ball is the first player to get to 10 points.
